EQUIPMENT FOR PRODUCTION SHRINKABLE JOINT SLEEVES/ COUPLINGS

This equipment is used for production of PE heat shrinkable joint sleeves(couplings) that serve to isolate the joint of steel pipes in PPU insulation during underground laying of a thermally insulated pipeline in a protective PE shell pipe.


The heat shrinkable coupling  is made of HDPE, it is used to seal the joint of two pre-insulated pipeline components.Heat shrinkable couplings ensure reliable and airtight connection of PPU pipes in pipelines. The element grips the edges of the shells of the pipes, preventing the penetration of moisture from outside. The use of such components makes the commissioning of the pipeline cheaper due to the shortening of the installation time.



This machine is used to produce PE heat shrink sleeve, which is used to connect pre-insulated pipe systems. Heat shrinkable couplings are used for waterproofing protection of butt joints of steel pipelines with thermal insulation made of polyurethane foam (PPU) in a polyethylene sheath. Heat-shrinkable couplings are of high quality and are made of high-quality polyethylene.


Heat Shrink Sleeve is expanded PE-material with an elastic "memory", which causes the joint to regain its original dimension after shrinking.



The heat shrinkable sleeve is a stretched PE material with an "elastic memory" of the polymer, which makes it possible to restore the original size after shrinking. The shrink sleeve tightly seals on the ends of polyethylene protective sheaths(PE jacket pipe) for the PPU insulation. 



Sleeves(couplings ) are applied at the final stage of installation of pipelines for full finishing of butt sections with missing thermal and waterproofing. Fitted on the edges of PE shells directly above the butt joint area, the heat shrinkable sleeve for PPU pipes simultaneously provides absolute protection of the pipeline against penetration of soil moisture and becomes a convenient form for filling its cavity with insulation from polyurethane foam. Due to the use of heat shrinkable sleeves for PPU pipes, it is possible to provide physical and operational characteristics of thermal insulation and hydroprotection of the weld region that are not inferior to the corresponding parameters of the main pipes.
